Hey BD,

Firstly, big thanks to everyone that came up to Edinburgh at the weekend for
the Beginners Tournament - I really hope you enjoyed it and that we'll be able
to tempt you North of the border again next year.

Secondly, I'd like to say a HUGE thanks to everyone that helped with the
scoring and organisation, especially the Sneeekys contingent, who gave up a lot
of their weekend, and those that were roped into it at the last minute (not
that we wanted to take advantage of injured players!)

The final placings were:

1 - Purple Haze (champagne bucket & champagne)
2 - OW! (wine rack & wine)
3 - Drugstore Cowboys
4 - Fingers 6
5 - Flatball Project 'Pirate Kings'
6 - UCD
7 - Boogie Knights
8 - Ro-Sham-Bo 2
9 - Phat 'Ed's (mini champagne bucket & bottle)
10 - Jedi 1
11 - Northern Lights
12 - The Fish
13 - Yorkie Bar Kids
14 - UWE
15 - Positive Mojo
16 - Jedi 2
17 - Hulltimate (wine gums)
18 - Jesters
19 - Posh Disc
20 - Strange Blue
21 - Flaming Monkeys
22 - Mohawks
23 - Stirling Blaze
24 - RSB 3
25 - Flatball Project 'The Misfits' and Shooting Stars (Framed(!!) ice tongs)
27 - Bradford Disciples
28 - RSB 1
29 - Far Flung 1
30 - Mute Animal Unit
31.5 - Far Flung 2 & Mwnci See (The sliced lemons and cocktail sticks of
shame)

To be honest I didn't get to watch much of the final (either team want to set
the story straight?), so I can't tell you much about it other than that the
crowd seemed to enjoy it and the final score was Purple Haze 8 - OW! 6

Hat: Nicole from Mohawks (shot glass & minature)

Party: Far Flung (beer)

Sharking: ('Jaws' bottle opener) Originally went to Rocky from UCD
and "topless girl", but since one wasn't there and the other wouldn't own up,
sharking went to RSB's very own Alexis - for effort............although rumours
abound that there was some success involved. Anyone like to fill us in?

Spirit: Flatball Project ' Misfits' (cocktail shaker & spirit)

3 pint challenge: (chocolate liquers)
Men's: Preston (Stirling) & Dave (Positive Mojo) in 15.25 s
Women's: Beth & Simone (Far Flung) in 38.75 s
co-ed : Laura & Rob (RSB) in 26.23 s

The party went off with traditional nakedness, not-so traditional crowd-surfing
and a DJ who, when asked what on Earth he thought he was doing (after an
amazing triplet of Whigfield'd 'Saturday Night', the Macarena and Aqua's 'Dr.
Jones') replied "To me, this IS pop". At least they let us stay 'til 3am this
time.

Let me know if you want any of it back. If not, I'm sorted for the rest of the
season!

Right that's about it from me, who'll be glad to hear.

See you next year,

Lindsay
