In addition to views from other open players.

Firstly I would like to disagree about the importance of coed (and some
other events) as being of less importance. They are extemely important to
many up and coming players, and maybe by the time some of our older more
qualified players start ro retire; coed will be the Nationals everybody
wants to be at. Bring on the future.

Second.. Nationals should be (and is) a competitive and qualified event
near the end of the year. I wonder if the poor turnout last year was due to
the weather prospects? or if it has more to do with the tour being over and
the nationals seems more like a 'tag on'.(thats too debatable and i
shouldn't bring it up just now)

On balance i think, if the Nationals (open or otherwise) is the premier
event of the year, perhaps it should be played in a location that will
guarantee it a large turnout and aid publicity.

Therefore i suggest that the w/e offered to the British Open (unfortunately)
would be best. A bank holiday possibly 3 days of Ultimate with options for
Hat or something else. Its closer to the actual tour events and almost
quarantees FAB weather. I think Womens Nationals should be played at the
same time too. maximum
The point I want to make is that if the Nationals is Premier... make it so.

Alternately this is also the w.e Nottingham have been hosting their
delicious co-ed event so again i should probly be quiet. Mind you i know
the guys in Nottingham would are itching to host a major event, and would
serve the country well. I might also add that Nottingham and Leicester (and
therefore Loughboro) are the 2 dryest cities in the country (not that a
southerner would ever believe it).

there, slightly more than 2penneth, but worth a credit note.
