Lets not forget that the first C in WUCC stands for club. If certain british
women consider themselves affiliated to clubs outside the UK then good for them.
They should not be held accountable for the present state of British womens
ultimate. Nonetheless I sympathise with Diana Worman's complaint (is it?) that
the BUF is doing FA about the state of women's ultimate. The BUF has after all
taken its most familiar stance in a crisis, sticking its head in the sand.

As someone involved in running a disc sports association it irks me greatly
when intelligent people such as Rafi resort to slagging off THEIR association.
It is just such a cop out!!!!! It contributes absolutely nothing to
improving matters. If you think something/someone is wrong then you should
make a constructive criticism, otherwise you will merely demoralise people
who do actually make a contribution to the sport and make a large sacrifice
of time to do so.

Criticise where you see fit but PLEASE identify where things have gone
wrong. Which person or committee has failed and what should they have done?
In most cases it is a lack of interest/involvement from the actual player
base which results in a lack of progress and this may be no fault of the
organisation.

Regarding the lack of GB Women's teams at WUCC it is indeed sad. What can
the BUF do about it? If individuals decide to play for foreign teams I
don't see what the BUF can do about it - it is a matter for clubs and
individuals and Rafi certainly seems to take that stance.

I would also question whether the "state of British women's Ultimate" is
really so bad. Sure things could be better, but I think a lot of progress
has been made. People like Sue Underwood have put in much effort to
organise womens ultimate and the BUF has largely been incidental to that.
This is how things should happen - people need to take the responsibility
to improve matters THEMSELVES.

So Rafi, its back to you. Do you just like throwing mud and thus discouraging
people from sticking their heads above the parapet and taking responsibility
or do you have something constructive to contribute? Let's hear it!
