Indeed, Derek was so impressed by his new look that he plans to explore the
possibility of undergoing a reality transplant. He hopes to suspend his
real life role and continue as a Virtual Reality cartoon. At first he will
be restricted to two dimensions and line drawing, but with the artist's
co-operation he will have unlimited hairstyles and really neat clothes to
wear.

Once the software has been re-written to suit his unique attributes, he
hopes to appear in full colour in one of the other glossy mags - keep
checking your local newsagents. Derek believes that this new role will
allow him unrivalled access to the media as his image can be converted into
any of the standard formats (GIF, JPEG, BetaMAX and even 12 inch Long
Play). He promises to use this position to promote disc sports and not
simply as a means to rub shoulders (etc.) with pop stars and fashion
models.

Rumour has it that Derek has harboured plans to transfer to VR ever since
seeing the disc throwing character in the computer film TRON - who knows,
with the latest gadgetry he may even appear alongside Jean-Luc Picard in
his favourite Star Trek show and get to interface with Commander Data
himself to exchange some interesting stats.
