Hello again,

A big thank you to all teams who came, played, probably had a quiet,
justified moan about pitch sizes, drank, and were generally all nice people.
An even bigger thank you to Simon Statham and the rest of the Slipdisc and
WAS players who all helped out a hell of a lot for the whole weekend,
especially anyone who turned up at 8:30 both days. It all seemed to go very
well, and all of the people helping Simon and I did a fantastic job - thanks
quickly to Simon from Janitors and the Bears girls, and anyone else who
helped out with scoring.

The finals of the Cup, Plate and 'Bernie the Gnome' sections of the
tournament produced three thrilling games of ultimate, played out in an
excellent spirit between the teams involved. Without much further ado, here
are the results from the weekend:

20. Mwnci See
19. Bears 2
18. Uriel
17. WAS (Winners of Bernie the Gnome)
16. Jesters
15. Chuft
14. Bears 1
13. Slipdisc 1
12. The Airforce
11.The Fish
10. Whiplash
9. Trigger Happy (Winners of the Small Balti Dish)
8. Slipdisc 2
7. Kamaya Maya
6. Flyght Club
5. Purple Haze
4. Block Stack & Two Smoking Hammers
3. Baboom
2. Mild Mannered Janitors
1. Sublime (Winners of the Large Balti Dish)

Overly complicated, hugely democratic Spirit of the Game Award: Block Stack
(Recording an average 4.682 spirit points out of 5 for the whole tournament,
and only 0.04 ahead of Bears 2)

Norman the Layout Gnome Layout Award: Trigger Happy (Given to the whole team
for their efforts in the plate semi-final, and reinforced by Steve's
fantastic (almost) match-winning layout in the Plate Final)

Big congratulations to Sublime, Trigger Happy, WAS and Block Stack for your
wins. I hope that everyone enjoyed themselves, and we are looking forward to
planning the next couple of events in Birmingham.

And thank you again,

Thank you,
