Dear All,

I'm sure that there must be a few Ultimate players out there who are
curious to try out disc golf on a proper course. Your ideal opportunity
is just 11 days away.

There is a fun tournament at Quarry Park, Leamington Spa on March 23-24
and you can play either or both days. It is the only handicap tournament
on the schedule so who knows you might even win!

Quarry Park is 15 acres of grassland and woodland bought by me nearly 8
years ago and devoted solely to disc golf. Over 1500 trees have been
planted to create a challenging and beautiful 18 hole course on the
banks of the river Avon. You can get some idea of the course at
www.quarrypark.co.uk or go to
www.discgolfphotos.com/gallerypages/england/quarrypark2001/index.htm

or
www.discgolfphotos.com/gallerypages/england/quarryparkgallery97_2000/index.htm

The course is fairly beginner friendly as there are no really long
holes - the longest is 106m.

Players of all standards are welcome and I am particularly keen to have
new players along. I realise that some people cannot make both days, so
there will be separate results and awards for each day as well as for
the whole weekend. If you wish to play only one day you can pay half
price.

The basic cost is 15 pounds for the weekend. Subtract 4 pounds if you
are not earning, subtract 1 pound if you pay in advance. This includes
sandwiches and soft drinks on both days. Camping is available for a
pound a night. If you can let me know in advance if you plan to attend
that will be a great help as I have to make sure I have a handicap
worked out for you as well as buying provisions for lunch.

If you have any questions please get in touch via e-mail to
course@frisbee.co.uk or call me at home on 01926 864136

Dels Disc store will be open of course and you will have your last
chance to pick up discs at 2001 prices. Manufacturers have raised their
prices for 2002 and this will be reflected from April. If you can't be
at the tournament you may wish to use the mail order facility. Contact
me via discgolf@freeuk.com or on 01926 864136.

Regular plastic will probably go from 7 to 7.50
Millenium, KC, Elite X plastic will probably go from 8 to 9
Champion Edition and Elite Z will probably go from 11 to 11.50

Hope to hear from you soon,

Del
