Erm, on the subject of qualifying groups i know that within our own club
(bears) we had a bit of discussion before qualifiers that northern region
(where graham was going to play with monkeys) 'seemed' stonger that midlands
(where we were due to play), but we concluded that if you based qualifying
spots on apparent strength of region then you may as well just effectively
choose who goes to nationals in the first place. Which seem a little unfair
and not exactly in the spirit of the game.

At any rate, given that this IS nationals, and the overall aim is basically
to win (with general emphaisis on top eight only), most teams who finish top
eight in the end should be able to qualify no matter how hard to group is
(with the obvious exception of Sublime who played fantastically all
weekend). Just a thought, and not very eloquently put. Sorry.

Woody (Bears, Furious 5)
