Hello people,
Despite having resigned as DoC I seem to be doing this again (careless of me).
Seeding: will be calculated from 1. finishing positions of the top 16 in nationals last year. 2. Tour positions from last year below that. 3. Teams who are essentially the same but have changed names keep last years positions. 4. New teams are subject to my best guess based on other tournament results, and the fact that I have all the uku rosters so I know something about all teams, as well as the information sent to Adam.
Schedule: The schedule is as per usual an open event for T1 (ie no peer pools). With 44 teams in the event (plus 4 for a womens event) this means that some teams will be in pools of 6, and others in pools of five. These pool games are going to be very short (approx 45 mins with no cap - details still being finalised). This allows time for longer play-off games on Saturday afternoon, and a normal tour schedule for Sunday
Tour Rules: will be made available on the UKU website soon - hopefully later today, depending on mine and Ben's workload.
Relegation: It is unlikely that Kev is unable to accommodate 48 teams at T2 (it's also unlikely that he will have to), but not having spoken to him I can't confirm anything. Either way the tour rules will detail very carefully what the procedure for selecting teams who make it to T2, and T3 will be.
