Probably already been said in so many words by someone, but my thoughts =
on the women's-alongside-open situation...

I think that it's a pretty lame idea having a women's tour alonside the =
biggest open tour. I can't make it to Bristol, but if I could, I would =
want to play for the open team and know several women who feel the same. =
More challenging experience, more competition, all adds up to better =
women players and so better womens tournaments at seperate times. More =
importantly, by having a women's tour alongside tour 1, it encourages =
seperation of the sport into men's and women's. Isn't one of the BEST =
things about ultimate the fact that men and women are EQUAL? I think so. =
It's one of the few sports where gender is irrelevant. =20
Some of the best players on some teams are women and want to play at the =
best level they can, that being Open Tour. There are plenty of other =
weekends where an Open Women's Tour could be arranged surely? Why force =
women to make decisions between the two?
I fully support the mixed events as well, and these should definately be =
kept seperate too.
