Shorten the Indoor Season, eh?

Or, from the other perspective: lengthen the outdoor tournament season.

If the way the weather has been this recent autumn/winter/spring is
going to be typical of future years, this seems a reasonable suggestion.

Here's the catch - many of our current tournament venues are used for
football or rugby and, to a lesser extent, hockey.

How do we get these venues when they've been bulk-booked from early
October to late April for football ?

If anyone has any clever ideas for this, please let me know!
(BTW, I've already enquired of a couple of venues about availability in
April 2003, and the response has been "we're probably holding football
matches, if the weather allows")
