In London at least there are now regular women's practices in Regents park.
And although Clapham practices are 'closed' this means 'by invitation'
rather than 'Clapham squad members only'. We have women attending pretty
much every practice, and I would hope that other open teams with closed
training sessions (if you get my drift) would take the same position.

With regards the timing of the Women's tour:
How many women play in the tour? How many for top 16/20 teams?
How many of them would rather play a Women's tour than the Open if they were
the same weekend?
etc.
Maybe something for the Association to check out?

Alex
Clapham

On the subject of women's ultimate and geo teams. Has anyone considered the
impact of geo team's on women's ultimate? Having lived both near Leeds and
London since the development of geo teams in the past 18 months, my personal
experience has been that it is becoming increasingly difficult for
competitive women to benefit from practicing with experienced men as a
result of closed practices.

I understand the need for and applaud the move towards geo teams but because
of the small player base of competitive women I believe it may result in a
weaker GB women's team till the problem is addressed and many more women are
recruited.
