I think this is a good idea but we still need to have a few metres of space 
for the sideline team members to be able to walk up and down to shout at 
their team mates for being slack on D or whatever.
If for nothing else than the safety issue. The line was so faint at the w/e 
due to whatever reason that spectators were actually on the pitch for most 
of the game.
