You are quite right, this exchange of positions did indeed start in the pool
play.  Both Fusion and Smash & Grab are changed from last year (only 3 of
Fusions roster are veterans from last year).  The game was a titanic
struggle with Smash & Grab sneaking through in sudden death.

We'll get them next time!
