When the Sports Council were initially approached back almost two years
ago now, the advice from our case officer Phil Collier was that the
application would be viewed more favourably if the family of disc
sports were presented in one package. Maybe he lied!

Sam asked, what should we do next...

My personal view is that we shouldn't give up! I would be very much in
favour of lobbying Tony Banks, but all the approaches Sam identified at
once would work even better.

My usual fear is that everyone is full of good intention and gusto but
short on actual time to commit to furthering our collective cause.
>From my experience of public institutions if you pester them enough
they eventually give in just to shut you up, but this kind of approach
takes (wo)manpower.

So keep the idea's coming, but more importantly, anyone who is prepared
to give and hour a week to the cause and has access to a telephone or
computer or photocopier, please let yourself be known. This more than
anything else will be to key to our successful recognition by the
Sports Council.
