Not to be a pain in the ass and spoil your fun. But if you all did a bit of
research you would realise that it is not the oil companies that are to
blame but the tax the government impose on petrol. Of the price you pay 80%
is tax. The price which oil companies such as Esso and BP charge is less in
the UK than any other country in Europe. Yes you can enjoy cheaper prices
at supermarkets but there again you pay for the quality fuel you get. In
other words if you want decent fuel don't use the supermarkets.

Secondly boycott all you want. It does not affect the fuel companies. It
just means people fill their tanks on a different day. You still need
petrol

EVEN IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CAR - PLEASE PASS TO ON TO YOUR FRIENDS THAT DO!
THANKS

This may work if we all do it - please pass this to people you know
I hear we are going to hit close to 89p a litre by the summer.

Want petrol prices to come down? We need to take some intelligent, united
action. Phillip Hollsworth, in the USA, offered this good idea:

This makes MUCH MORE SENSE than the "don't buy petrol on a certain day"
campaign that was going around last April or May! The oil companies just
laughed at that because they knew we wouldn't continue to "hurt" ourselves
by refusing to buy petrol. It was more of an inconvenience to us than it
was
a problem for them. BUT, whoever thought of this idea, has come up with a
plan that can really work. Please read it and join with us!

Since we all rely on our cars, we can't just stop buying petrol. But we CAN
have an impact on petrol prices if we all act together to force a price
war.

Here's the idea:

For the rest of this year, DON'T purchase ANY petrol from the two biggest
oil companies (which now are one), ESSO and BP. If they are not selling any
petrol, they will be inclined to reduce their prices. If they reduce their
prices, the other companies will have to follow suit. But to have an
impact,
we need to reach literally millions of Esso and BP petrol buyers.
By the power of email this message can reach those millions of people in
just a few days (or hours).

Acting together we can make a difference. If this makes sense to you,
please
pass this message on.

PLEASE HOLD OUT : THIS CAN REALLY WORK.

ps:
Two final notes, added after this email was written:
petrol is a waste product of the petrochemical industry. We pay to dispose
of their waste product!
Esso is the worlds most profitable company, with an annual profit of about
17.5 billion dollars
