I can put in explicit exceptions to allow e-mail from certain addresses.
This is mainly useful for things like an automated events listing, etc. This
requires effort on my part, though, so I'd rather restrict this to cases
where that account really is send-only.

If you do have variations on e-mail address, e.g. home and work will be the
most common, the easiest way is to subscribe both, and disable mail delivery
on one using the web interface. You can then post from either address, and
will receive a seperate subscription reminder notice for each.

Yes. Continue using the old archive for now - all postings on the new list
will be added to it until the new archive is ready for use.
