BDer's,

Today I posted off a letter to the Chief Exceutive of the UK Sports Council
appealing against the recent decision to NOT recognise Ultimate & Disc
Sports. I have asked for two things: information about their appeals
procedure; and a set of their current recognition criteria.

On a closely related topic - Mark Jefferson of Warwick Bears will take on
the (informal) role of BFDF Development Officer (Acting) as soon as his
final examinations are over (about two weeks). This new BFDF post will be
more formally agreed and filled as soon as the next Board Meeting and/or
AGM has been held.

I will be forwarding as much information as is relevant to Mark once he has
recovered from any post-finals hang-over ;-), after which he will, no
doubt, publicise the agreed plans of action towards development in general
and recognition by the UK Sports Council in particular.

If you have any ideas or comments then you may send them direct to myself
and I will forward them to Mark once his exams are over.

Finally a note of thanks to all those who expressed a willingness to take
on the Development Officer role and I am sure that Mark will need their
help and the assistance of many others to achieve any substantial successes.

Cheers,

Sam Neilson
National Director of the BFDF.
