Womens Nationals
----------------

Sue Underwood gave me a message to pass on re Women's Nationals
but like a **** I left it at home.
Anyway the main point is that it should be 4/5 Oct.
I don't think a venue/TD is sorted out as yet.

Additionally I believe that the idea is to create the teams
on a REGIONAL basis, thereby creating more teams of closer
ability.

Will bring in the full message tomorrow... if I manage to remember
how to find my way home.

REGIONALS
---------

Not linked to Nationals.
Not linked to the tour.
No rosters; no strict requirements on venue.

HOW EASY TO ORGANISE? VERY.

So whats the point? As has been said before, the idea is
just to have REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, just for the same reason
that we have say, National Championships - because we can.

Things can be fairly informal - regions will probably look similar to
previous years - but we can be more flexible given that we don't need
to ensure they have an equal spread of strong teams.

So - ONE LAST OUTDOOR tourney before some people go indoors, and
some of us go into hibernation; or do I mean gruelling winter training.

One main aim is to have a relaxed tournament for student teams to bring
their new players... so its important that it happens.

Scott has offered to buy a beer for the first person to come forward
with a genuine bid. Good one Scott! Thanks mate.

Please ring me, 0113 289 0971.
Date is flexible ; and they don't HAVE to be the same w/e.

Here are some venue ideas - maybe this will spark some conversation
and result in a bid....
Trent Park - come on - loads of you live near enough to there to run it.
Chew Magna??? - what do think Headrush?
That school in Newport - can't remember its name!! (Rich, Martin... hello???)
Leicester - you always have something up your sleave...
Milton Keynes - any chance? Mad Kows? Patch?
OXFORD!! - Radley College - like the good old days...
or even better - somewhere TOTALLY new!

INDOORS
-------

Tricky old business indoor Nationals. Difficult to get all the venues
for regionals and finals. Difficult to predict the entry as the number
of teams can fluctuate wildly.

Wayne Davey has expressed an interest in overseeing the whole thing this
year. But maybe YOU would like to help!? Maybe you can see a solution
to the problems of booking space with little guarantee of numbers.
I know that Paul Meaney has put some thought to this already.
Look forward to hearing offers of help!
Without your help I can guarantee that the whole thing will happen
on the last minute panic basis that it has for the last couple of
years - if only because you can never predict who will want to play
(and where!!)...

Sorry for the long message
