Dear BritDisc Readers,

The BFDF have some great news to announce!

The BFDF Coach Education Project, led by Simon Moore, will soon be in a
position to bear fruit. The 5-level Coaching Awards Scheme has been defined
and the fine detail of the Level-1 Ultimate specific course will soon be
completed.

What does this all mean?

In a nutshell, we will soon be able to qualify people as:

	'BFDF/BUF certified Ultimate Coach'

BUT ... before this can happen, we need somebody to co-ordinate the
coaching awards scheme ... COULD THAT BE YOU? Please READ ON ....

There are MANY Ultimate players out there waiting for the opportunity to
formalise and improve their skills in coaching Ultimate and the main job of
the new BFDF Coaching Scheme Co-ordinator will be to SELL the idea of an
Ultimate coaching award to all those interested. The target launch of the
Ultimate specific coaching course is September/October 1997, so the exact
dates need to be fixed, booked and advertised ASAP.

The new post holder will need to start straight away, but help and support
are never far away. The BFDF team of Executive Officers will be on hand to
advise and Simon Moore has already prepared a detailed description of the
5-level scheme which can be simply edited down into a publicity flyer.

The outline job description is as follows:

* schedule and publicise the Ultimate specific coaching courses;
* co-ordinate bookings for the coaching courses;
* maintain records of attendance & completion of course;
* oversee the preparation and production of certificates;
* arrange PR for wider media coverage;
* explore sponsorship opportunities for the coaching scheme.

More details can be provided to all those interested in taking on this
exciting new role.

Please contact Sam Neilson in the first instance if you would like to be
considered, stating any relevant experience you may have (e.g. PR &
Marketing) or particular reasons for wanting to GET INVOLVED!

Looking forward to your flood of responses ....

P.S. I FIRST POSTED THIS AT THE END OF JUNE, NOBODY HAS YET REPLIED - I
CANNOT BELIEVE THAT NOT ONE PLAYER IN BRITAIN IS WILLING TO TAKE THIS ON!

PLEASE PASS ON THIS NEWS TO THOSE TEAM-MATES WHO DO NOT SUBSCRIBE TO BRITDISC.
