Dear All
Issue with the students: As a mixed team we (Sneeekys) couldn't get
a team to all the Tours, as Scuttler pointed out distance was the
real factor.
So in response to we in Scotland are currently trying to set up
s Scottish Student League. This will run on a similar format to
other University sports (ie football, Hockey) In that students can
play each other for one full game on a regualar basis on wedensday
afternoons just within the Scottish Universities.
If each region were to do this then I feel they could improve
considerably with little cost and the time would be suited to their
university calender. (ie most unis have Wedensdays off for Sport)
Then preahaps we could end up with the region winners of each league
playing in a form of Student Nationals.
This may result in a spilt in open and student ultimate if it
happened nationwide but I feel overall would help in the
expansion of student ultimate and as a result open ultimate.
James
Ps St Andrews Ultimate, I haven't got a questionnaire back from you
yet, Is anyone in the city????? (I posted it to your Sports Union)
