The feature on Disc Golf went out soon after 7.30 this morning on BBC
Breakfast TV. The film report lasted 160 seconds and showed different
players driving and putting. There were interviews with Tony Wakeford
and me. There was a little bit of chat between the studio presenters
at the end of the piece when the sports presenter handed back to the
main news presenter. All the filming took place at my Quarry Park
course in Leamington Spa - we had 11 players involved and the baskets
were up.
The whole feature was very professional as you would expect from the
Beeb on a news programme. There was no piss taking or jazzing it up
just informative reporting by a sports reporter and it appeared at
the end of the sports news.
A longer slot would have been nice but all in all it was very good
and we wait to see what interest it stirs up.
