Hans Zijp just mailed some info about the (Frisbee) DiscGolf WinterTour
'96-'97 tournament in Alkmaar to our old address. Luckily my schoonvader
brought it by right away. Here's what it says:

Alkmaar,

soup, better tomato soup!), very

Start 1e ronde : 10:30 uur ( a.m.)
Routebescriving ( Directions to get there)
Met de auto ( with the car):
Aangekomen op de randweg van/om Alkmaar, neem je de afslag richting
Schagen, dit is de N245. Na enkel stoplichten sla je links af (hier geen
stoplichten) bij de aanduiding "Geestmerambacht"/camping Molengroet. Na
ongeveer 200 meter sla je links af het recreatie gebied in. Volg de
eenrichtingsweg naar de parkeerplaats. Onderweg zie je al bordjes van
restaurant "Het Meer" hier verzamelen we voor de players meeting.
{As you come around the traffic circle in Alkmaar take the
direction to Schagen, this will be route no. N245. After a few stoplights
go left when you see a sign that says "Geestmerambacht"/camping Molengroet
( there is no stoplight ). Ride about 200 meters you'll turn left into the
park. Follow the one-way road to the parking area. On this road you'll have
seen signs for the restaurant "De Meer", that's where' we'' meet for the
player's meeting.}
Per openbaar vervoer:
Helaas het recreatiegebied is slecht bereikbaar per o.v.
- Vanaf Alkmaar Centraal Station neem je de bus 156 ( vertrek 3 min. over
het halve uur) of bus 157 ( vertrek 3 min. over het hele uur). De reistijd
met deze bus bedraagt ongeveer een hal uur. Uitstappen bij de halte " Witte
Winkel". Vandaar is het nog een half uur lopen.
- Als je een treintaxi wilt en /of kunt nemen reis dan eerst naar station
Heerhugowaard. Vandaar is het zo'n 7 min. per taxi.
{Via public transportation:
Unfortunately the park is not easy to reach by public transportation
- from the central train station in Alkmaar you can take bus #156 ( leaves
3 minutes after the half hour) or bus #157 ( leaves 3 minutes after the
hour). This ride will take about 30 minutes. Step out at the stop called
the "Witte Wiinkel". From this point its about a half hour walk ( good
warming up-ed.)}

- enkele lange holes { a few long holes}
- waarschijnlijk veel wind { probably a lot of wind}

- restaurant midden op het parcours { restaurant in the middle of the
park (warm-ed.)}
- voldoende parkeergelegenheid { plenty of parking possibilities}
