Good afternoon folks!
This is just a quick e-mail to guage interest in an outdoor
tournament in the fair city of Dundee. We propose to hold it in
October, the likely date being week three of the new term......think
it's around about the 20th. I realise that the Freshers tournament
in Edinburgh is also around this time, but we will make sure that
this tourney does not clash with it.
This will be the first event of its kind in Dundee. We are hoping to
attract as many teams as possible. Should we get a massive response
(please.......) we will restrict it to a maximum of 31 entries
(which will make 32 teams, ourselves included). The facilities here
are excellent, and there's no problem with accomodation, as long as
you don't mind kipping on floors. If the response is positive, and
we hope that it will be, I'll send out confirmation in the next few
weeks.
The entry fee will be quite cheap compared to other tournaments, and
we'd only be looking for approx. £50 per team. If there are any
pick-ups wanting to play, then the charge for them would be £5 per
person.
Please reply to either myself via this address or my hotmail account,
which is morshy@hotmail.com, or to Elaine (the Vice Captain) whose
address is "e.e.kenwell@dundee.ac.uk"
We look forward to receiving your replies, and also to seeing you
all in Dundee in October. As ever, if there is anyone who may be
interested in this, but not subscribed to Britdisc, please pass it
on.
Yours fervently and servently,
Starky
Captain, Shooting Stars
