Hello all,
I think that a lot of you know already that I am the new Student
Co-Ord. Could you please pass this message on to the relevant people
in all the student clubs if and when they are around?
As I am not sure how many of the Student clubs have at least one
person on Britdisc I suppose you had better send me a short note if
you are (one per club please). This will make the job of contacting
those that are not easier. Although I hope that most of those who
are not will get on ASAP if possible - makes life so much easier!
(I know that I can Who Britdisc - but that doesn't tell me if the
right people from each club are on).
Also, if the contact person/details for your club has changed from
last year please inform Ultimatum and me.
STUDENT INDOORS:
There have been major changes to the format of things this year; first
off the regions look like this:
North:
St Andrews - Celts
Ed. - Sneeekys
Glasgow - Mud Culture
Lancaster - Reservior Fish
Bradford - Disciples
Leeds - You guys (plus J. Children?)
One Junior team.
MIDLANDS
Shieffield - Phat Eds
Superfly
Loughborough - Purple haze
Leicester - Jesters
Manchester - F6
Bears
Wolves (HSR)
Birmingham?
Aberstwyth?
One Junior Team
Total 9-16
SE:
Cambridge - Strange Blue
Milton Keynes - Mad Kows
London - Chaos
Canterbury - Toxic
Brighton - Mohawks
One Junior Team.
Oxford teams
SW:
Skunks
Bristol - Mythago
Exeter - Uriel
Plymouth - Picnic in the Sky
One Junior
(The top 3 or 4 teams will go through to the finals - depending on
bids).
As you can see we have 4 quite small regions regions - this means
that there is scope for 2/3 teams from most Clubs - why not make the
effort?
The regionals will take place on the Sat 30th Nov and Sun 1st Dec.
IE: MUCH EARLIER than before! Therefore I need to be taking bids in
NOW! We expect 12(ish) teams in each region -
well within the scope of any venue - so why not consider hosting
your region? Contact me NOW if you are interested. I would esp.
like to hear from people/venues that haven't hosted before.
The finals have been provisionally set for the 8th of Feb. - so we
need to be thinking about bids for that also.
Welcome back to another year of Uni,
BARRY O'KANE
